Autumn Colours

Website

Short Description

The Challenge

One of Bathurst and Central West NSW’s biggest tourism events and draw cards, Brijid Media Agency rose to the challenge as the autumn leaves fell.

Planning

When developing websites, the planning phase is often one of the most important. Careful consideration for the end user's experience needs to be managed along with the content management system.

Deployment

Once planning is complete, designs are signed off and assets are all compiled. It's time to deploy the site.

Optimisation

Ensuring that the website is properly monitored and optimised once live is just one of the services Brijid Media Agency is well known for.

Client: Bathurst Regional Council’s Tourism Sector

Link: www.autumncolours.com.au (website currently only a holding page)

Type: Custom Calendar Development, Custom CMS, Website Deployment, Ongoing Optimisation

Every year, Bathurst Regional Council organise and coordinate the Autumn Colours festival. It is an eclectic collective of amazing events throughout Bathurst and the wider region. Ranging from food and drink, to history tours and museums these events run for the entire 3 months of Autumn and truely bring out the beauty and amazing people of the region.

With a wide range of offerings and services available throughout the Autumn Colours events, it was important that we designed and built a website with the right functionality to filter events in accordance with the 8 categories of events available. Working with Kylie Ledger of StartleArt and the team from council we designed, conceptualised and went to work building the site.

Some major factors that went into the site that needed to be adhered to included a turn-around time of only 3 weeks from briefing to going live. In delivering this website to deadline, it is a real testament to the hard work by all parties involved and a great example what happens when all parties work well together.

The end results for the website was a 400% increase overall  in visitors attending the events. This being the first year they used a website to promote the event, this can be attributed to the Website and was an amazing result.
